In case of a gas outage or pressure loss in your system, for safety reasons, some of our regulators need to be manually reset before restoring your gas service.

 

There will be a small release of gas, so no smoking or open flames. Unscrew the cap and pull the steel plunger (looks like the head of a nail) out / away from the regulator.  There should be a popping sound which will mean it is working and pressured up, and the plunger should stay out. The cap can be put back on. If the plunger gets pulled back in, there is a problem that needs to be solved
